Asli Deniz Eke

Asli is an associate at Crawley MacKewn Brush LLP. Asli is building a broad litigation practice and has particular experience in securities litigation.

Asli’s litigation practice includes a broad range of commercial and securities matters, both in the civil and regulatory contexts. Asli summered and articled with the Enforcement Branch of the Ontario Securities Commission, where she was an integral member of multiple investigation and litigation teams on various litigation matters, including fraud, insider trading, registrant and reporting issuer misconduct, and a successful appeal before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Divisional Court). Prior to joining the firm, Asli worked as an associate at a Toronto-based litigation law firm where she represented clients on civil, commercial and securities matters, including successful appeals before the Ontario Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Asli obtained her Juris Doctor from University of Toronto Faculty of Law with distinction standing in her final year. During law school, Asli was a research assistant with a focus on international constitutional law and she served as a member of a pro bono clinic assisting Ontario-based creators with contract and copyright issues. She is also a graduate of McGill University, holding a Bachelor of Arts (High Honours and Dean’s List) in Political Science and Economics, where she conducted research on climate change economics.

Originally from Turkey, Asli is a published author and her historical fiction novel was translated into multiple languages.
