Vakkas is a Managing Partner at Lewis and Associates in Toronto, Ontario. His practice mainly focuses on business law, business immigration, immigration applications, and Judicial Review Applications to the Federal Court of Canada.

He has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada arguing judicial review cases for immigration matters. In addition to his extensive litigation practice, he has remarkable experience in Labour Market Opinion Assessments (“LMIA”) Applications, Intra-Company Transferee work permits, and Start-up Visa Programs.

He obtained an LLB in 2013 and LL.M in Public Law in 2015 from Galatasaray University, Istanbul, Turkey. He specialized in various areas of international law, including UN Sanctions, Countermeasures in State Responsibility, International Economic Law, and Investment Arbitration, during his LLM in international legal studies at the University of Vienna. He gained practical knowledge of Canadian Law through GPLLM Program at the University of Toronto, from which he graduated in August 2020.
